As a Board Certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Dr. Calat expertly manages a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions. Dr. Calat practices the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise in traditional and immediate dental implant surgery, wisdom tooth removal, laser oral surgery, bone grafting, impacted canines, oral pathology, facial trauma treatment, TMJ disorder treatment, apicoectomies, and corrective jaw surgery. Dr. Calat has completed six additional years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training after graduation from dental school. He utilizes only the most modern and proven techniques with minimal surgical intervention and optimal patient comfort.

Dr. Calat is on staff and has operating privileges in the prestigious Mount Sinai Medical Center, where he teaches future oral surgeons. Dr. Calat performs surgery in a hospital-style operating suite, thus optimizing the level of sterility. Treatment is available for patients who have special medical or anesthetic needs or for extensive procedures as a hospital patient.
